After scanning my current J. Crew catalog, I thought I would try to recreate the outfit based on what I have in my closet and some new purchases. Now that I have created this collage, I realize it is a BAD idea to put a picture of me next to a 6 foot, 90 pound model. Wow do my legs look stubby! For the record, I'm only 5'3" and 115lbs.
I am using the Minnie pant in navy, just like the model, but that is where the exact matches end and I improvise the rest.
I added a plain white oxford shirt over the ruffles and roses tissue tank in a soft pink. Instead of the blue belt, I use the roughed out leather belt in a brown leather.
I am usually chasing a toddler, so flats are more my style, especially during the day, so I am wearing toe-capped flats from Spain, which are very similar to the J.crew Abby flats.
What I love about J. Crew, is the the way they layer and have wonderful layering ideas. So here's my look.
What do you think?

you read my mind lol- I have this outfit planned for springtime when it gets a bit warmer. love the look, great job! however i'm redoing the look with no Jcrew items.
Hi, just found your blog and have to tell you I love this outfit and the way you set up the collage. I love the flats with the outfit, too. I think it looks better than the shoes J.Crew picked out in the catalog! Looks great!

I like your outfit better than the j.crew one!! Great job recreating it. :)
Also, your legs do NOT look stubby! =P You look fabulous~~ like you were the model in the catalog, really!!!
I think this outfit looks great on you- I don't have the Minnies..but I plan on copying this look using some capri pants. By the way, you look great (after having a baby no less)- what are your tips on losing baby weight? Thanks. Kim D.
Love that outfit. I think I might need to try and recreate it too!
I love this idea of choosing an "inspiration" outfit and then shopping your closet to create something similar.
And I agree with the prior poster that you look great for just having had a baby. What are your tips?
I'm breast feeding and my little one has food allergies, so my diet is limited. take a look at my other blog for the full story. And thanks for your kind words.
